With Spring Break fast approaching (more on that here!), it’s time to start thinking about what you’ll be wearing with that margarita on the hot, sandy beaches. That also means it’s time to get your bikini bod ready and prep yourself for the agony of swimsuit shopping.

One-pieces are totally in this summer, which has us happy as a clam since the past few weeks of finals have left no time for the gym and a lot of time for late-night food deliveries. It’s okay girls, count to ten and breathe. I know we all have huge under eye circles, our legs haven’t been shaved in a good week and these study munchies are starting to catch up with our love handles. But on the other side of this pit of fire that is midterms is a glorious week-long party fest.

It’s been a busy week of jumping through puddles and praying that the sun will come out tomorrow. Or, I don’t know, yesterday? But a new month starts next week, and so does a new fresh start to the beloved season.

To kick of July with a bang, we get to choose from our lovely collection of swimsuits to show off at the beach, (paired with our handy T-shirt tote bag, of course,) spice up our outfits with a scarf and maybe take a day off from work using the clever period excuse (even if we’re lying about it).

What we won’t be doing is getting the new iPhone, lest we get too fat to fit into our swimsuits. Or having some  casual sex because, although it may seem like a great idea in the moment, it’s not that great the next morning. And, most importantly, we will not be asking men anything, because it makes us want to pull a Will.I.AM. move on every man we see.

On the brighter side, we’ve got some awesome new jams we heard about, and it looks like there really are a bunch of jobs out there for all those post-grads. So after doing some soul searching, we can fill out some applications.
AND no excuses for not working out, because we got some awesome tips to relieve that muscle pain.

When I was a plus sized beauty my biggest gripe was that there was never anywhere to go shopping. I was a size 18-20W and I felt horrible in just about everything I owned. It seemed the only stuff I could find in my limited price range made me look like a sack of potatoes. Nothing was ever flattering. Nothing ever quite right.

I don’t want anyone else to have to live like that. Looking fabulous is everyone’s right no matter what size! So here are some shops (online and at the mall) to visit to find that inner-whatever-your-personal-style diva.

Remember ladies: Don’t be afraid to mix and match. Just because you can’t find a top to those jeans at that store doesn’t mean there’s not one for you at the next. And if it doesn’t make you feel fabulous, it’s not worth buying.

1) Lane Brynt

Yeah, this is a no brainer. I didn’t start this list off with Lane Bryant because it’s the most fab place, but because it does have something that every girl needs. A good bra. Vicky’s (Victoria Secret) can get kind of pricy for us larger busted ladies and I found that LB had a good quality product for an excellent price. But don’t discount them too quickly. They have some cute separates and are a good place to get old standbys (i.e., black pants, solid colored tees, dresses) to outfit your wardrobe.
