Obviously I love Harry Potter, that’s not a secret. This summer I was in Orlando for a lacrosse tournament and went to the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is the most magical place I’ve been. I’m talking exact replica of Hogsmeade, full on Hogwarts Castle, and Butterbeer. Although it was insanely crowded, it was so cool that we went twice. In the same day. Seriously, if I could move there and be a character, I definitely would.
People were lined up for hours waiting to get into Ollivander’s Wand Shop and The Three Broomsticks. That was actually a good thing because it freed up the lines for the rides. The former Dueling Dragons roller coaster is now based off of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Yeah, they have the Tri-Wizard cup there. There’s also a kid’s ride called Flight of the Hippogriff, but the real kicker is in Hogwarts. You travel with Harry, Ron, and Hermione through all of their wild adventures in one of the coolest rides I’ve ever been on. Trust me, you have to go. Even if you don’t like Harry Potter, it’s awesome. Read More »

I am sad to announce that legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent passed away in Paris on Sunday at the age of 71. He is best known for redesigning “men’s clothes” for women through creations such as his infamous tux of 1966 and trademark elegant pantsuit. As one commentator put it, “Chanel gave women freedom” in the first half of the 20th century, and Saint Laurent “gave them power”.
In Other News,
Hilary Clinton emerged triumphant from Sunday’s primary in Puerto Rico yet it is doubtful that this will be enough to stop her downhill spiral. On Tuesday, the remaining 31 delegates will be decided as voters in Montana and South Dakota go to the polls for the Democratic Party’s final two primaries. Obama is approximately 50 delegates away from the 2,118 needed to secure the party’s nomination. Read More »

Very often Los Angeles ends up being this glamorized, tourist version of glitz that all gets summed up into: Hollywood Blvd, Universal Studios, Grauman’s Chinese Theater and Walk of Fame. All of which are great, and must’s, if you haven’t even been…but beyond the celebrity centered attractions, L.A. is full of exciting spots that are often overlooked.
Some of the best food in Los Angeles, though not in the guide books, are still celebrity packed (if you’re into that sort of thing) so, even though it may look unassuming, don’t forget to bring your camera.
Best Mexican Food- Casa Vega, located on the other side of “the hill” also known as “the valley” is the number one BEST burrito machine, ever. Huge portions, flavored margaritas, dim lighting so the stars can eat peace and friendly mariachi. This is a must, make sure to visit with an empty belly. Read More »
