(We’re back with another weekly installment of G.W.W.E [Guys We Want to Eff]. This week, we’re honing in on Frat Pack hottie, Vince Vaughn. Not only is he smokin’, but he knows how to party… and will still laugh at fart jokes. What more could a college gal ask for? )
Call me crazy, but I’m bored with college guys. It’s just that they’re…guys. I want to have fun, but is it so much to want to party with a real man? Is there anyone out there who can be mature when he needs to be, but still laugh at my potty humor? I used to think I’d never get my wish, but then Vince Vaughn came into my life.
Let’s think back for a moment to Wedding Crashers. I remember seeing that movie for the first time and thinking, “Where’d Vince Vaughn come from? Hellooooo hottie!” He dropped in on my fantasies as quickly and suavely as he did the Cleary wedding. He was sublimely clever in devising wedding crashing rules, and was equally as impressive with his devotion to the cause. Major bonus points (or shall I say, effability points?) for fidelity.
Vaughn emerged as a major comedic force among the likes of Will Ferrell, the Wilson brothers, and Steve Carell, particularly in the earlier release, Old School. Since then, he’s shown his multi-faceted (yet always effable) dating persona in The Break-Up with Jennifer Aniston, whom he subsequently dated. Their relationship was major tabloid fodder while it lasted, but now he’s been linked to Ugly Betty star, Vanessa Williams.
Never fear! Though he may appear to be off the market, Vince’s effable self will still be featured prominently in the new comedy Four Christmases with Reese Witherspoon. After watching that trailer, I know I’ll be asking Santa for a chance to eff Vince this holiday season!

There is nothing better than a Sunday evening with french fries, Franzia and fashion. The Emmy Awards are on right now and they are…meh. The opening scene sorta blew (except for Heidi Klum’s sparkly unitard…that she looked HOT in), the rest is a bit boring, and my Franzia hangover is already kicking in.
But the red carpet fashion was some of the best I’ve seen in years. Seriously, I can’t even think of one dress that I didn’t totally love. Well, maybe one, but that is for a whole other post.
As I walked past a mirror on my way to the bathroom and caught my reflection – sorority butt pants, a stained t-shirt and super greasy hair – I couldn’t help but imagine what I would look like in any of the following gowns.
Not that I will ever walk a red carpet…or get to wear a Nanette Lepore gown…or drink any wine that doesn’t come in a box, but a girl can dream.

Oh, the writers strike. It’s been cock blocking so many fun events for us spectators as of late, but not the SAG awards! The ceremony actually went and got a waiver from the Writers Guild of America and the show, for once, went on Sunday. Stars grazed the red carpet with expected ease and as with all major events like this one, the night was just as much as about fashion as it was anything else. And as with every fashion event, celebrities seem to always be hitting it or missing it.
So here’s who HIT it Sunday night: Read More »

Ah, November. The banging pipes above my head at 4 AM signify that it is indeed fall, no matter how warm it was a few weeks ago.
Now that we’re safely into our fall school schedules, fall sweaters, and fall sleeping patterns (staying up too late doing work, waking up too early to go to class), I think its high time to share a few of my favorite televised reasons to push away that term paper.
In no particular order of awesomeness:
• Chuck – Monday nights at 8/7 central, NBC – It’s very rare that a TV show makes me laugh out loud on purpose (I mean…Caveman? That just hilariously awful), but every week that I tune in, Chuck manages to make me chuckle.
The Mild-Mannered-Geek-Turned-Superspy plot allows for lots of explosions and cool fights, but it’s the interpersonal relationships between Chuck and the people around him that make this series truly pop.
Whether he’s stumbling awkwardly around his hot co-spy Sarah, dodging his sister’s (and lovably odd boyfriend’s) questions, or dealing with fellow nerd Morgan, Chuck’s life is never boring—so neither is the show.
Joshua Gomez stands out as the entertainingly awkward Morgan, and Adam Baldwin wins points for making his tough as nails spy John Casey funny when it counts most. As chuck’s sister, Sarah Lancaster is stable and adorable, while Yvonne Starhovski plays hot-spy-masquerading-as-a-wiener-girl Sarah with poise and just enough charm to be likable.
While everyone in the cast carries their own comedic weight, Zachary Levi is definitely a primo reason to watch Chuck in the first place. Read More »
