I used to be seriously worried about getting older. Not only because of the fear of my health failing or loved ones dying, but also…what would I wear? It seemed like once you got past 35, fashion decided to forsake women because, in general, society marginalizes women over 30. Luckily, after delving more into the world of fashion, I realized that there are tons of timeless pieces that are appropriate for women from 20 to 80. Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is approaching 40 (!!!) and she is definitely one of my fashionista role models. She has an amazing sense of style that is generally refined, chic and sexy.

I am completely obsessed with this gray dress from ASOS, especially the textured fabric. It’s elegant while still maintaining a visual edge. Combining it with a plum cardigan creates a rich color palate, and a black belt adds a subtle twist. A red structured bag is an interesting choice, but it complements the gray and purple well. Sky-high nude peeptoes complete the look. This is perfect for a formal event, but you could easily dress it down with flats or low heels.

It seems like celebrities these days have to be Jacks (or Janes) of All Trades. If you’re a singer then you’re a dancer and if you’re a dancer then you’re an actor. Then comes the fragrance, and then, of course, the clothing line, the last of which can get a little creepy crazy. I mean, everyone remembers the Avril Lavinge era of hoodies and men’s ties right? No? Just me.

Well, if you do remember  the terrifying time then you remember just how ridiculous some of these fashion labels can get. It’s the moooost wonderful tiiiime of the yeeeear. Halfway to it, anyway. In a ‘Christmas in June’ inspired feeling, we can all celebrate because today is exactly six months away from Christmas. And, that being my all-time favorite gift-giving holiday, I rounded up a few presents I want now.

We ladies are constantly on the look out for the hottest fashion (at the lowest prices) and the coolest trends. Even the girl who just wears the same pair of jeans every day is looking for a comfortable pair of denim that make her ass look great. And that’s why we’re constantly providing a running commentary on the fashion we see on a daily basis. While some of it is certainly cringe-worthy, there’s a lot of it that is ooo-ahh-I-want-it worthy.  It’s not uncommon to see strangers ask each other where someone bought something.

But what about those things you can’t have and the people you can’t ask? The Manolo Blahnik’s you see Carrie Bradshaw wearing on almost every episode of Sex and the City or the Hermes bracelet on Kim Kardashian? Everyone wants it but few can have it…and that’s why I have a never-ending list of celebrity closets I want to raid.

These women have the clothes that make me wish I could walk into Barney’s, whip out a Fendi wallet, take out my limitless Amex Black card, and buy the entire store. Of course, this is currently impossible for me so instead I have to spend my days ogling the fashion magazines and fantasizing about shopping in my fave celebs walk-in closets.

So for those of you not in the know, Bieber cut his luscious locks. I should admit I don’t have Bieber fever, and I actually think he looks 10 times better without that awkward swoop thing that Tom Brady Stole. Which brings me to my next point…why is this news? Why is this a top story of all my favorite celebrity blogs?

I get hair cuts all the time and it never stops the presses, so why should Bieber’s new shag be talked about like it actually means anything? Or our favorite friend, Jen’s, new style (which isn’t new for anyone who actually watched ‘Friends’).

Shouldn’t we be more focused on other things, like I don’t know…their talent? Career? Upcoming movies? Or anything else remotely interesting? But their hair — I mean, come on people, when did celebrities’ hair styles become more popular than the celebrities themselves?

If there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that when it rains it pours. And that couldn’t be more true than with Hollywood gossip. Yes, the drama drought is over and now we’re swimming in scandal. Is it all true? Who knows? But if the media’s printing it, we’ll trust it. I mean, they don’t lie, right?

1. Did Ashton Kutcher cheat on Demi Moore? We’re not sure, but that’s what the tabloids are saying. While there have been rumors about this before, now there’s texts involved. According to reports, Ashton was involved with a 21-year-old woman named Brittney Jones (why are they always named Brittney?) and even had sex in his house when Demi wasn’t there. His lawyer already spoke out saying that it’s a lie. However, Brittney claims to have texts messages that she saved despite Ashton asking her to delete them. I’m a little skeptical – home girl’s friends say she’s been creepin’ on Ashton for a while – so we’ll see how this one pans out.

2. In another cheating scandal, Posh and Becks are having tabloid trouble over a hooker. The rumor mill is saying that David Beckham hired former prostitute Irma Nici at $10,000 a night. (Editor’s Note: Damn! Time for a career change.) She says they had unprotected sex and a threesome in 2007. Posh and Becks are saying it’s completely false and are planning on taking InTouch Weekly to court. God, please don’t let this be true. I’d like to retain some sort of faith in relationships.

3. Some happy couple news: Joel Madden and Nicole Richie are tying the knot! But not quite yet. Nicole had her bachelorette party last weekend, but the two aren’t getting hitched until December because of their busy schedules! Nicole turned 29 this week and wanted to have her bachelorette party close to her birthday. That sounds like a good plan to me! No other details about wedding plans have been released yet.

4. Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy may be getting back together! They split in April due to Jim’s depression, but apparently they’ve been meeting secretly for the past month. Sources say that Jenny realizes how much she misses Jim. Jenny’s daughter, Jane, has been asking Jenny to take him back. Hopefully they do reconcile, they were presh!

5. More trouble for Lindsay Lohan. After failing  two of her drug tests, LiLo was served with an arrest warrant today. Although Lindsay admitted that she made a mistake and needs help, she’s is still in legal trouble for violating her probation. And now she’s facing up to 30 days in the slammer. Hopefully she’ll spend a full sentence instead of 12 days like last time.

2. Kristen Bell and Matthew Morrison dated in college! You heard me. Kristen and “Matty,” as she called him, briefly dated back in the day. Not sure what she was thinking letting him go. Despite his bad rapping on Glee, he’s most definitely a keeper.
