Jon Hamm contributed a video to one of my favorite blogs, RookieMag.com, as part of their “Ask a Grown Man” series. Yes, that’s right. Real readers got to ask Don Draper himself all their burning questions about life, love and…farting. Yup.

This morning in the CC/COED office, we had an awesome summer jam playlist on. It’s rainy and gloomy here in NYC, so we were pretending that it was summer time. Or maybe spring break. Flo Rida’s new song “Wild Ones” came on, and we all realized something. It’s a great song, except for the parts where you can hear Flo Rida. We love Sia’s singing, and we wish we didn’t have to hear it along with Flo Rida’s rapping.

After thinking about it for a little while, we realized that Flo Rida ruins most of the songs he’s featured on. Don’t believe us? Here’s our list of songs that Flo Rida has ruined.

The sad news just broke that rapper Adam Yauch of the iconic Beastie Boys, whose stage name was MCA, has died at age 47. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer, but it’s unclear if his death was cancer related. RIP, Adam! Our hearts go out to his friends and family. For more information, head over to TMZ. Do you often wake up to find that pesky cats have pissed on your car? No? Me either. But apparently, for a man named Craig Turner, this was a serious problem. He made a YouTube video with very detailed instructions on how to prevent cats from pissing on your car. It involves car batteries, “a mess of wires,” and an HD camera, to name just a few components. Really.

The strangest thing about this video is that I can’t really tell whether he’s joking or not. I mean, the whole thing seems like it has to be a joke. But there are moments when this guy looks deadly serious. I spotted a ring on his left ring finger during the video. So it looks like this guy is married. To his lucky lady, well – congratulations? Your husband will make sure you never have to drive in a car that has been peed on?

When The OC premiered, well, more years ago than I care to think about, teens fell in love with Seth Cohen. More adorable nerd than classic boy-next-door, his quirkiness endeared himself to us and we were rooting for him to hookup with the unattainable popular girl, Summer Roberts. Eventually, she too fell for him and fans everywhere cheered. The rest went down in geek history.

Since the days of Seth and Summer, it’s become totally cool to like bespectacled video gamers over muscly heartthrobs (not that we aren’t loving ourselves some Chris Hemsworth…). To celebrate all thinks geek chic, The Rapper P.D.A. has released a song called GEEK…and we’re totally crushing. Check it out and swoon!

We all know those guys. They just do certain things that are so irritating and grating it makes us want to punch someone. Whether they’re a prankster who changes your Facebook status to something about poop every chance he gets, or he’s the guy who doesn’t cover his mouth when he sneezes, these guys are just the guy that you do not want to be.

Luckily, thanks to YouTube and the wonders of the Internet, a group of guys have taken it upon themselves to show us that guy, and why you shouldn’t be him (usually to some dubstep music). These videos are seriously hilarious (especially the test taker one) and will keep you occupied for a little bit longer, so you don’t have to get started on that group project. Growing up, my laziest/most awesome science teachers would always play Bill Nye videos in class. In fact, my 8th grade science teacher was more than a bit obsessed with him. She used to tell a story about how she met him at a conference, and how it broke her heart when he turned out to be a total jerk.

After watching this video, though, I don’t know if I believe her. Bill Nye was at Colorado College recently, where there is a band called Bill Nye and the Science Guys. The band played Bill Nye’s theme song from his show, and he danced and sang along with them. Some of his crazy moves have us wondering if maybe he’d been “experimenting” with the effects of alcohol that night, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is his enthusiasm! He looks like he’s having a blast. This video has restored my faith in his awesomeness. Check it out!

This video is titled “World’s Most Beautiful Marriage Proposal” on YouTube. Um, excuse me. I beg to differ. This is the most absolutely terrifying marriage proposal I’ve ever seen.

The video is from a Fox show called Mobbed. Basically, they plan huge flash mobs. I thought this video might be really cute, because there are some adorable marriage proposal flash mobs on YouTube. But it’s awful!

At the start of the video, the woman and her boyfriend are sitting at dinner. In order to give him an excuse to leave the table to set up for the flash mob, they make the poor girl think he’s cheating on her. An actress comes up to the table, says “You should have told me about her!” and pours a glass of water on him. So now the girl is crying, and thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her. And then everybody in the restaurant starts singing and dancing.

They take her outside, where there are tons of people dancing, singing, and chanting her name. The man proposes, and (luckily for him) she says yes. So now her emotional rollercoaster of a night must be over, right? Wrong. She’s informed that she’s getting married right then. They put an ugly dress on her, right on top of her clothes. Then her family and friends appear, and she gets married. Minutes after being made to think that her boyfriend is cheating on her.

Note to anyone who may consider proposing to at any point in the future: this is NOT the way to do it. Check out the video above!

Coming to SXSW all the way from London, England, Graffiti6 blew everyone in Austin away. Graffiti6, made up of pop/rock duo Jamie Scott (vocals) and Tommy “D” Danvers (producer and songwriter), bring a whole new kind of sound to the SXSW music scene. Graffiti6’s sound feels like mix of Gnarles Barkley with a splash of The Naked and Famous and a dash of Robin Thicke. This band knows how to groove and made everyone at SXSW fall in love. And how could you not with an accent like that?

Freshman year. That incredibly awkward time when so many of us had to move in and share a tiny space with a complete stranger. You thought you were gaining all this freedom and independence by moving out of your parents’ house, until you discovered that living with a roommate can get really weird. My freshman year, everybody pitied the poor souls who got “sexiled.” You know, the people whose roommates kicked them out so they could have sex. But this video proves that for some people, getting sexiled isn’t the biggest roommate problem. According to the Fung Brothers and their video “Wanking In The Dorm Room,” the toughest part of sharing a room is finding the time alone to masturbate. In the first few minutes, this video is funny and relatable. And then it gets really, really weird. Check it out and you’ll see what I mean.
