I love tights. They not only keep me warm during the winter, but they’re also a fun way to express my personal style and give my outfit a little extra pizzazz.
Tights have been pretty popular for a few seasons now (thank god – no one wants to wear their annoying sister, hose, during the cold months) and there are tons of different styles out there ranging from funky to sexy to feminine. The surprising news is, tights can get really pricey. I’m not sure how something that rips so easily can cost so much, but I am not the one making the rules. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable options that don’t skimp on the style, and here are a few choices that will look fab without hurting your wallet. Read More »

My aversion to pants puts a strain on my wardrobe when the autumn weather rolls into town. But this season’s addiction to brightly colored tights has come to my rescue. Taking my fashion cue from Blair Waldorf and the rest of the Gossip Girl cast, bright, opaque tights are the remedy for the end-of-summer blues.
I plan on having candy-colored legs every day of the week this fall. And for my one-stop tights-shopping extravaganza, I’ll be buying out the entire stock at WeLoveColors.com.
Bright tights are a great way to set yourself apart in a crowd and pulling off these adventurous ensembles is easier than you think. Whether it’s bright pink tights underneath your Little Black Dress or patterned tights with a pair of your favorite boots (many of the tights come without the annoying feet, so you don’t have to be yanking at the tights all day!), WeLoveColors has what you’re looking for. The only thing left for me to do is figure out how best to incorporate zebra print tights into my daily life.
Who doesn’t love a little color to spice up an outfit? Now you can be warm, trendy and show a little leg while you’re at it as you rock bright tights this fall. If you’re not ready to push all your favorite dresses to the back of your closet, I would check out WeLoveColors.com for outfit inspiration.

[In early adulthood there is an activity that plays a large role in most of our lives; nights out on the town. And with those nights out always comes the question: “What am I gonna wear?!?” Each week I’ll be putting together a cute and affordable “going out” ensemble guide (that you can tweak to your own personal style and body type, of course) so that maybe that age-old question can be answered a little quicker than usual. And your friends aren't waiting - for hours - for you to emerge from your room.]
So the weather’s colder and we’ve said good-bye to the sexy tanks and sandals of summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look sexy & flirty, while still keeping cozy. A perfect fall solution is to pair up those sassy summer dresses with a funky pair of tights and a cute and flirty jacket. You won’t be miserable freezing your bootie off as you bar hop, and I can bet you’ll still be turnin’ heads.
I love this dress from Forever 21 and it’s only $22.80. It’s basic enough that you can wear it multiple times in a plethora of ways. Add a belt, wear different kinds of tights and/or shoes, put on a blazer; all of these things will mix it up and give you a new outfit. Of course, you can find basic cocktail dresses all over the place, so find what suits you and go with that, just make it as basic as possible so you can dress it up with accessories without going overboard.
