Retro Movie Fashion Nostalgia…What Were We Thinking!?

In typical film fashion, box office hits are often a designer’s playground for previewing iconic or futuristic styles to the all-consuming public eye. From the absurd to the enviable, our favorite characters’ looks have run the gamut, but there are definitely more than a few we wish we owned ourselves. Just ask Kanye, longtime fan of these iconic retro-chic shoes that are now being released to the public for sale.
Now, before you get too nostalgic for epic old-school styles, I’ll just gently remind you that there’s a reason some of these designs never made it very far beyond the shelves in America’s hottest stores…

For all you easily impressionable movie goers like myself, if it’s timeless, classic and basic there’s a good chance it’s not safe to park these clothing styles in your closet. If you are, however, peer pressured by movies, I leave you one final piece of advice from a big screen fashion that I am so glad never even left the building: may be the force be with you.
