Baggin' Out: Madewell Blanket-Stripe Tote

This week has been a blustery one in my town and I’ve sadly had to set aside my leather purses. I’m anal and won’t bring them out in any sort of bad weather: snow, rain, sleet, etc. I’ve been looking for fabric purses that can stand up to the northern winter and think I’ve found one that was just made for Thunder Bay. The Madewell Blanket-Stripe Tote!

Made of wool (totally unique for a bag, by the way), this tote measures 21′ L x 14′ H and has enough room for all your school necessities. Logging long hours at the library, with textbooks galore and your laptop? This tote will help you get it all there. The interior is sturdy canvas, which helps the purse to hold some shape. There is also one interior slip pocket. Another bonus is the leather handles; they won’t break apart under the weight of all your junk.

I absolutely adore the look of this bag. Madewell designed it to look like your favorite, cozy blanket, which is so unique and cute! The wool is also a really interesting choice, but very appropriate for more northern climates. Obviously, this may be a seasonal bag (shorts + wool = DANGER), but it will look so darn perfect during the snowy weather. And, it comes in two patterns! “Dark camel” is a mix of brown, red, blue and grey, while “Parchment” has cream, green, blue and mustard.

If the Madewell Blanket-Stripe Tote tickles your fancy, you can pick it up for $98 at Madewell’s website and stores.
