For the past few days our nation has watched Hurricane Sandy wreak havoc on the East Coast, especially when it touched down last night in the Northeast region. This hurricane has been known as “Frankenstorm” since it will go down as one of the strongest and most unique storms in history.

Already, millions have been without power, massive flooding has occurred, and people have lost their homes. It will take a long time to rebuild from a storm of this magnitude. We wanted to show readers some of the devastating affects the storm has already had, so we went on Twitter and found these striking images from people on location.

Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected.
