Ray J Releases Song About Kim K. “I Hit It First” [Sugar Binge]

As you may know, Kim Kardashian has a pretty famous sex tape with Rapper Ray J. We know this. So when Ray J released the song “I Hit It First,” featuring album art of a pixelated Kim Kardashian and lyrics explicitly about the reality star’s love life, I gasped. I gasped for days. I thought this was some sort of Internet meme, if we’re being totally honest. Here are some of the lyrics, “She might move onto rappers and ballplayers/But we all know I hit it first./I had her head going North and her ass going South/But now baby chose to go West/No matter where she goes or who she knows/She still belongs in my bed.”

I have many questions. Is this a publicity stunt? Now, clearly it is for Ray J but are Kim and Kanye in on it? Is this supposed to a romantic gesture? Is this supposed to be Ray J trying to sweep Kim Kardsashian off her feet with her one true weakness, more publicity? Is this OK? Because it feels really disgusting. Since when did boning anyone before someone else somehow make your encounter more meaningful? Unless you think a woman is worth less by the amount of men she sleeps with? Why are we still treating women like pawns, trophies and status symbols? It’s unfathomably degrading to write a song about “hitting” someone’s baby mama first for publicity and ego. BUT, Kim Kardashian may totally be into this. Her job is to create public interest and attention where there normally wouldn’t be. Maybe this is exactly what she wants. Damn.

• Speaking of Kim Kardashian, she just tweeted the first official picture of her baby bump

• Rihanna and Chris Brown have allegedly broken up again but they are basically Rachel and Ross so IDK.

• Drug-addicted writer Cat Marnell’s $500,000 book proposal has been leaked to Jezebel. Here is a taste of her prep school experience at 15 years old:

“I went right for the hottest, richest, most popular senior and was blowing him in his car in three weeks flat. Social climbing through sex has always been one of my specialties. I don’t fuck for love, I fuck to put my name on any given particular New York map.”

I think it’s pretty sick that we’re a culture that capitalizes on other people’s illness and disease.

• There is a country-rap collaboration called “Accidental Racist,” by Brad Paisley and LL Cool J. It is a modern “Ebony and Ivory.”

I really don’t know if this is great or atrocious but it does attempt to promote racial harmony and say things that people wouldn’t otherwise normally admit.
