The Five Best Websites For Wasting Your Life

It’s Saturday afternoon, and what are we all doing? Laying in our beds, nursing hangovers, and reading the entire Internet of course! What other routine can top that? For some reason, whenever I’m hungover, my body wakes me up at the ass crack of dawn (probably to punish me for treating it so terrible the night before). So I’m usually done reading the entire Internet by like 10 AM. So what am I supposed to do with the rest of my day? I hope you don’t expect me to actually get out of bed and be productive! I shudder at the thought.

Thankfully, there are plenty of websites all over the Internet that you can literally waste your life on and because I love you guys so much, I decided to find them all and give you guys a little guide to the ultimateĀ time wasters! Yay!

1. Tumblr

Tumblr is probably my go-to for boredom. I just scroll and scroll and then the next thing I know, 6 hours have gone by! It’s wonderous. From fandoms to amazing new music, Tumblr has pretty much everything–even inside jokes that only Tumblr kids would get.

2. Reddit

Now Reddit is the more R rated version of Tumblr. People are a little more crass and weird. There are some pretty disturbing things on Reddit, but alas, the kids love it. Reddit is usually where the magic all starts from–viral videos, memes, Q&As with celebrities, etc. Reddit has even deemed itself the “front page of the Internet.” Pretty cool.

3. Random Love Punches

So, I think I found Random Love Punches one day when I was super depressed and feeling sorry for myself for one reason or another. I needed a little emotional pick me up, and Random Love Punches was just the ticket. Messages like, “You are loved” andĀ If you don’t care whether or not people love you, they won’t be able to help themselves” are just little words of wisdom. I love it.

4. Thought Catalog

The best thing about Thought Catalog is that there is something for everyone! From pieces about completely heartache to thoughts on war and politics–there is an endless stream of wisdom. I have always found something I loved on Thought Catalog every single day. I also appreciate the fact that it’s a group of twenty-somethings just writing about how much it sucks to be a twenty-something. We all know how that goes.

5. College Candy

Because, duh.
