Supreme Court Has Dismissed Prop 8, Same-Sex Marriage Legal In Cali

Sources are reporting that The Supreme Court has dismissed the Prop 8 appeal, which brings same-sex marriage legal in California. They dismissed the case on the basis that the Prop 8 proponents had no legal standing for denying same-sex couples marriage. HOWEVER, by dismissing the case they avoid ruling on whether same-sex marriage is federally legal and whether banning it unconstitutional. BULL SHIT. I am glad California now has this much entitled right but the many, many other same-sex couples in the United States are still being discriminated against and has a government that is AVOIDING progress by tiptoeing around it.

Silence is consent. Not speaking against discrimination is suggesting that you are FOR it.
