Revive Your Skin Regimine with Perricone MD Photo Plasma [In Our Makeup Bag]

What It Is:

Perricone MD Photo Plasma*

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Perricone MD is an excellent skincare brand that utilizes the best ingredients. Photo Plasma is their new offering and an “oil-free moisturizer cream [that] creates an invisible shield against environmental aggressors and guards against UVA and UVB damage.” With SPF 30, it does double duty and cuts down on your morning routine! It also promises to “brighten the skin and smooth surface imperfections.”

How To Use It:

Following your morning cleansing routine, apply Photo Plasma with clean fingers! That’s it!

CC Rating: A-

Overall, Perricone MD Photo Plasma is a nice, everyday moisturizer with the added benefit of SPF 30. I really like the inclusion of the SPF so I can skip sunscreen in my skincare routine. The moisturizer has a fluffy, almost mousse-like consistency that melts into my skin and doesn’t leave a greasy shine (I’m oily/combo for reference). This is super impressive considering that sunscreen is notorious for leaving a greasy, white-cast on users’ skin. I was also really impressed by the way Photo Plasma smoothed my “surface imperfections” as they call them. It acts like a primer too and makes foundation apply more evenly – another bonus! So for me, Photo Plasma is a 3-in-1. The only downside is obviously the price – $69 for 2oz. A little does go a long way, but with the whipped texture, I’m worried about going through a pot more quickly than normal.

If you’re in the market for a new, multi-tasking moisturizer than I highly recommend you check our Perricone MD Photo Plasma!

I love my little hometown and all that goes with living in the Great White North - snow, skiing, hot chocolate, bulky knit sweaters. I'm passionate about a lot of things, but you'll most often find me writing about books, makeup and fashion. As I like to put it, I've got beauty AND brains.
