Study Says, Women Would Rather Be Sexless Than Old Looking

I am twenty-four years old, but I look like I’m sixteen. This could be due to my baby face or the fact that I don’t wear tons of makeup or that I still have light up KEDS. Okay so the third one isn’t true, but how amazing would that be?

I get carded TWICE at bars because I look like I’m a toddler. One of my dear friends is so young looking that one time, a cashier at Walmart mistook her boyfriend for her father. Maybe it’s just this generation, or maybe we’re just so young still that it doesn’t matter, but I look really young. I’m not a huge fan of it.

I actually would love to look older.

So why are women saying that they would give up sex (?!!!) if it could make them younger looking?

Counsel and Heal is reporting that a new survey by Elizabeth Arden revealed that 76 percent of women are “willing to do something extreme” to look younger.

The poll revealed that 21 percent of women would give up sex for an entire year if they can reverse the clock. The even crazier thing about the results of this survey is that only 19 percent of women polled said they would give up their cellphone for a year to look younger. So we can’t live without Candy Crush, but a penis is NBD? I guess women go through droughts anyway (Hi, my biggest was two years.), so it’s like what’s the big deal?

I guess I just don’t see (right now anyway) the big fuss over looking younger. Grow old with grace, people. You can use all the anti-aging products in the world. You can inject and save and pull and lift every part of your body to make yourself look younger, but your age won’t change. As for right now, we can’t turn back the clock, so we might as well roll with it.

To check out more on this study (and to see what else women were willing to ditch for ageless beauty), head over to Counsel and Heal.
