‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ To Be Released in an Explicit Version and a Clean Version

We’ve all been wondering how Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor Johnson was going to keep the movie true to it’s literary counterpart, while earning a mainstream PG-13 or R rating. Looks like we may have found the answer, as it was reported today that the movie will be released in two versions — one clean version rated R for under-17 audiences, and another grittier version rated NC-17 for people looking for more of the series’ token kinky scenes.

This means you can go enjoy a tame version of the movie and bring your mom as your date (because we know how much moms love Christian Grey), and then round up your raunchiest BFFs for the dirty version complete with all the bondage, sex toys and freaky shit you can handle!

I’m sure Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are thrilled that no one will be trying to take away their riding crops and handcuffs and red rooms of pain.

Fifty Shades of Grey is due to hit theaters February 2015.
