For a brief period of time, I was all about traveling. Once I got back from whatever city I had been visiting, I was in a funk for weeks. Home was wonderful, but something about it seemed lesser every time I came back from one more amazing city. During these weeks of feeling sorry for myself, I would plan another trip to fix my craving for more travel.
It’s called wanderlust, and many twenty-somethings have it! Wanderlust, by definition, is a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world. As twenty-somethings, all we want to do is travel the world and see things we’ve only looked at and read about in books. Discovering new places and immersing into new cultures is what living is all about! Now, some people live and breathe the wanderlust lifestyle, but there are also those people out there (like my parents) who never travel–never go out of the country, never have the desire to explore the world. And then there are those of us who are borderline–we love to travel, but after a few days, home seems like the perfect place to be.
If you’re borderline and unsure whether or not you’ve got those wanderlust ways inside of you, check out the video below and see eight signs that you’re a total travel junkie!
