The 10 Biggest Differences Between an American and a British Christmas

This year, for the first time ever, I’m spending my Christmas outside of England. I’m really excited to celebrate Christmas in America. There’s a greater likelihood of snow, I’ll get to do some extra special post-Christmas shopping, and I have a feeling that everything is going to be on a much bigger scale (I spent Valentine’s Day here last year, and I was seriously overwhelmed with the range of Valentine themed chocolate. Americans go hard for the holidays).

If I were to ever move to America, though, there are some British Christmas traditions I’d have to bring with me. Seriously guys, no advent calendars? No Boxing Day sales? There are some major differences between American and British Christmases that I’ve already noticed, and I’m sure this year I’ll find even more.
