What It Is:
Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation with SPF 15 in 105 Nude*
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
I’m not a huge foundation lover, but recently, I’ve seen its merits. The cold snap my neck of the woods is currently experiencing has wreaked havoc on my skin, and I’ve needed some extra coverage.
Clarins Extra Comfort features argan oil and “the Global Age-Defying Complex” and they’ve dubbed it “the treatment foundation”. It seems to be marketed as anti-aging, but I’m expecting it to be just perfect for my suffering skin.
How To Use It:
Extra Comfort Foundation comes in a lovely glass jar that looks beautiful on a vanity. I prefer to apply this foundation with my fingers, so I wash my hands, scoop up a bit of product and blend it into my skin. You can build this up if you’re looking for fuller coverage or mix with a moisturizer to sheer it out. It falls sheer-to-medium normally.
CC Rating: A+
HOLY GRAIL ALERT!
I was excited to try the Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation, but had no idea that it would weasel its way into my everyday routine. This foundation is absolutely perfect for my oily yet dehydrated skin. It applies like a dream and moisturizes while not clinging to dry patches. After topping with a translucent powder or a dusting of Clarins Ever Matte Powder Compact, it wears all the livelong day (about 8-10 hours).
When I’m wearing this foundation, it feels like my skin is bare. It’s not tight because of the cold winter wind, nor it is oily from excess products. Rarely have I found a foundation to be so darn comfortable! While I haven’t noticed any anti-aging benefits, I will say that my skin looks plump and healthy while wearing this. The jar is also not ideal and absolutely awful for travel, but I’ll forgive some packaging oversight considering the product itself.
I urge each and every one of you to run and try Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation with SPF 15, especially if you live in a cold, dry climate! Your skin will thank you! It retails for $56.
