Another base product review coming at you! The whole Yes to… family is great, so when they decided to come out with a CC Cream, I couldn’t wait to give it a go.
I’m sure everyone is familiar with BB creams by now, but CC creams are a little newer to the market. CC stands for color correcting, so this base is mainly meant to correct skin tone. Yes to… says that it also adds radiance, decreases fine lines and wrinkles and moisturizes, plus contains SPF 18 for sun protection.
How To Use It:
I love the pump on this one! Just pump out a bit of product on your clean fingers or the back of your hand and use your fingers to apply to your face. I found that I didn’t even need to powder my face after application as this dried down to a rather matte finish.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from Yes to Grapefruits CC Cream. As they primarily product skincare, I just wasn’t sure how their makeup would be. I’m pleased to say that this has quickly become my favorite non-foundation base (tinted moisturizer, BB or CC cream). The coverage is just enough to blur blemishes and reduce redness, but still look extremely natural. And I love that it finishes off quite matte instead of dewy like most BB/CC creams.
I haven’t noticed any changes in my skin as a result of wearing this, but I also haven’t been using the CC cream steadily for a matter of months, which I imagine may be required to reap any of the skincare benefits. Some may be disappointed by the restricted shade range (only 2!), but that wasn’t an issue for me. In fact, the Light shade actually matches my fair skin!
I highly recommend this as an everyday base product. The Yes to Grapefruits CC Cream is $15.99 (or less if it’s on sale!).
