10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Oscars

Jennifer-Lawrence middle finger

The Oscar nominations were announced today and while there were plenty of expected nominees from films like American Hustle, The Dallas Buyers Club, 12 Years A Slave, Gravity and Her there were some notable snubs thrown at films who had Academy Awards buzz written all over them like Fruitvale Station, Mandela, Inside Llewyn Davis, All Is Lost and The Butler. There were some shockers like Jonah Hill of Superbad and 21 Jump Street fame getting nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Wolf of Wall Street.  While I love my girl Jennifer Lawrence, I am hoping Lupita Nyong’o wins for 12 Years A Slave because the woman is just flaw free.

Instead of discussing something as subjective as taste in films, like, I still strongly believe Josie and The Pussycats was snubbed in 2001, we thought we’d bring you some fun trivia so you can sound smart while drinking too much wine at your friend’s Oscar party.
