Guerrilla Chalk Artists Decorate Ohio College With Inspirational Quotes

danger dust

Anonymous chalk artists Dangerdust are decorating Ohio College with elaborate, beautiful inspirational quotes from famous folk like Tavi Gevinson, Bill Cosby, J.M. Barrie and Nelson Mandela. You have never seen chalk art like this. The pictures are detailed and almost appear to be three dimensional. Dangerdust is spreading their legitimate artwork around the Columbus College of Art & Design campus and I have to say, if I had stumbled upon one of these while I was in school there is no way I wouldn’t be put in a good mood.

The duo began as a hobby for the two advertising and graphic design majors. “One member told CCAD, “When you’re working on long extended projects for graphic design classes it’s easy to… lose motivation. I think we’re tired of the computer, and [chalking] gives us motivation.” You’d have to be motivated to create such time-consuming artwork and risk potential penalties. While totally cool, chalk art is considered vandalism. Lame, I know. Check out some of Dangerdust’s coolest work and follow them on Tumblr.
