Bruno Mars’ Super Bowl Halftime performance is testament to the fact that he is the closest we’re ever going to get to Michael Jackson. I think everyone else who likes to compare themselves to M.J. like Justin Bieber, Timberlake, Usher and even, Kanye West need to chill out. Bruno Mars has got the whole male pop package and seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers ruin an otherwise incredible performance just highlighted how talented he is. I must admit, I am not a fan of his music at all. I don’t think it’s bad but I’ve never downloaded or sought out his music. However, CollegeCandy.com did have the opportunity to see him in a live and intimate performance last year and he is probably one of the most unexpectedly talented performers I’ve ever seen. The man can please a crowd with his high energy performances but not only that he is a great singer and a multi-instrumentalist.
Bruno performed all of the hits then had to suffer the consequence of tradition by having to perform “Give It Away” with the aging and irrelevant Red Hot Chili Peppers.
