Snow sculptures are the only winter form of art worth making, am I right? Sick of these contrived “snow men” I want my snow art to be gigantic, high brow and ridiculously elaborate. Now, obviously these works of art are made by professionals but they are still great human feats. These beauties aren’t carved from a single block of snow but many with tools like shovels, hatchets and saws. It’s an art form that goes back over 100 years with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival hosting ice and snow sculpture competitions since 1886.
