Racist Paula Deen Feels Like “Black Football Player That Came Out”

Paula Deen

Paula Deen compared herself to college student Michael Sam, the African American, gay football player. You know, the struggles of an old white racist millionaire are exactly the same for a rising, gay, Black, football star. You know, having multi-million sponsorships drop you after you attend a party where waiters and waitresses were dressed like slaves and say the “n-word” is exactly the same as having sports pundits propose a ban on gay NFL players because you decided to come out in college! Totally on the same level of struggle!

A woman who got everything and lost it all due to her own racist ignorance and negligence is the same as a “Black” gay guy barely having a chance in hell to fulfill his dreams and potential because of something as arbitrary as his sexuality. Totally the same! I try not to use this phrase often because it can be a little mean to my fairer skinned brothers and sisters but, you know, #WhiteTears.

Here’s what Paula said, “I feel like ’embattled’ or ‘disgraced’ will always follow my name. It’s like that black football player who recently came out. He said, ‘I just want to be known as a football player. I don’t want to be known as a gay football player.’ I know exactly what he’s saying. I’m fighting to get my name back.”

Remember that study by Tufts University where white people believed they experienced more racism than Black people in America. Well, there you go: #WhiteTears. There you go! It’s a good thing history is always, always on the side of progress.
