Release Your Inner Glow with Topshop's Glow Highlighter [In Our Makeup Bag]

What It Is:
Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish*
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Topshop Makeup exploded on the scene a couple years ago and has been quietly churning out great products that are both trendy and affordable. They’ve also expanded a core collection with trusted standbys and had recently added their Glow Highlighter in Polish to the lineup.

Their description of the product is rather straightforward: “Cream highlighter. Blend cream onto highlights of face to highlight and boost radiance.” Despite highlighter being a simple cream product, they are not all created equal and I was excited to test out Topshop’s after hearing great reviews!
How To Use It:
I’ve given it away, but Topshop recommends “[blending] cream onto highlights of face”. I prefer to use my fingers and apply this on the top of my cheekbones, under my brows, down the bridge of my nose and in my cupid’s bow to create that Victoria’s Secret Model glow (you know what I’m talking about!).

CC Rating: A+

HOLY COW. I read the rave reviews of this product, but I never imagined that the glow it gave would be so beautiful! In the cute, frosted glass pot, Polish looks like another shimmery highlight, but once applied, it’s stunning! It goes on iridescent with a slight pink tinge and gives you that J.Lo “lit from within” glow. It’s hard to see in the photos, since highlight should only show when the light hits it (and be subtle at that!), but I think I captured it!
The lasting power on this baby is impressive too! I often find cream or liquid highlighters to melt off, but I inspected this after 6 hours of wear and it was still there, if slightly faded. The pot is tiny and surprisingly durable for glass, so toting it around for touch-ups is easy.
The only downside I’ve encountered is that the pot opening is almost too small to dip my finger in and get the amount I want. I always end up with too much on my finger, and then that excess goes to waste. I suppose this could be remedied with a small brush, but I prefer to apply highlight with my finger!
Polish is available at Topshop stores and their website for $18 US.
