You’re Not Really A Broke Girl Unless You’ve Done These 10 Things

broke bitch

Being broke sucks. You can’t go out. You’re watching everybody else have fun. You’re digging in between cushions for change and doing odd jobs for quick cash. The one thing being broke does is test your will and your resourcefulness. When you’re a broke girl, and most of us probably have been at one point or another, you know you’ve done some weird stuff to survive a rough week. I once had a friend give massages for donations at NYU. Mind you, NYU doesn’t have a campus so she was literally standing on the curb of a New York City street, as a young woman, touching strangers. I respect that hustle. That hustle is real. That hustle is the hustle that will make you a boss in the future. I would run game on Buffalo Exchange, you know the store the trades cash for second hand clothing. I would go to the Salvation Army and pay 2 or 3 bucks for more expensive labels like J. Crew, Zara or Banana Republic. Then I would go around the corner to Buffalo Exchange and sell them the clothes for more money. It’s the hustle. You got to hustle for that hustle.

We’ve all done some strange things to survive but you were never really a broke girl unless you’ve done these 10 things.
