7 Graduation Weekend Essentials for Dealing With Your Dramatic Family

Take a deep breath and let it out, girl. Your undergraduate career is FINALLY over. Your grades are in, you’re financially cleared and your ceremony regalia, dress and shoes are on the way. All that’s left to do is walk the stage and toss your cap in the air like you just don’t care. Tuh. If only things were that simple.
My graduation ceremony is next week. I have a huge family on both sides, so the likelihood of planning something that’ll happen without a hitch is extremely slim. Everyone’s coming from different parts of the country with different schedules, different arrival times and different hotels – argh. Just thinking about how everything will come together stresses me out. I’m sure that one day, I’ll look back on the weekend with warm memories – operative phrase being one day. Hopefully, these things will help me have a drama-free day…and you too, if you’re dealing with what I’m dealing with. Cross your fingers for me, y’all.
