Mascara is – in a word – awesome. I mean, everyone has their own idea of what the essential beauty product is, but for me it’s definitely mascara. The way it emphasizes my eyes just can’t be beat.
We’ve all heard the old adage that a product will never work as well as it does the first time you use it. I haven’t heard of any scientific explanation as to why this happens – my guess would be that the excitement of seeing great results fades over time – but if there is truth to it, we’re all in luck. There happen to be tons of mascara formulas out there, and many of them happen to be great.
Some have achieved cult classic status (Great Lash, anyone?) and some fly under the radar. Some get tons of attention but, IMHO, just don’t live up to the hype (I’ve never liked any of Dior’s mascaras, which seem to be huge crowd favorites). Some add amazing length, some work wonders in the volume department, others give an amazing curl. The one thing they have in common? They will all give you that amazing definition that draw everyone else’s eyes straight to yours.
