Puppies love ice cream (all dogs are puppies on the inside!). My childhood dog, Simba a fluffy Briard and Chow Chow mix, loved ice cream. He could smell it in the container and would politely sit, begging for a taste. Like most dogs he couldn’t maintain the illusion of obedience to the human race and would start frustratedly barking, “Want. Ice cream. Now!” I was young enough where I didn’t even consider the grossness of this but I loved my dog so much I would share my ice cream cone with him. I’d be licking one side, he’d be licking the other. Sometimes the cat would join in. Dogs love ice cream. More than anything I love how cute dogs look when they eat ice cream. Their tongues get all floppy and the ice cream slowly disappears. It’s like their tongues have little hands on them instead of taste buds that scoop up food.
