10 Ways To Avoid Screwing Up Midway Through Your Summer Internship

12. That’s my number…the number of internships that I’ve held from freshman year up until now. Some of my internships were awesome. I still have great memories and even better connects from some of my experiences, while others were…not so great (think less copywriting and more coffee runs). Still, I tried to make the best of every experience presented to me, and I’m proud to say that I’ve left with positive reviews and references from nearly each one.

Summer’s just started for most students, but some of you guys may have already started your internship that you worked so hard to obtain. If you’re feeling lost in the shuffle – don’t. Yes, you’re at the bottom of the totem pole as an intern…but that doesn’t mean that you have to remain there for the rest of the summer. Remember that your internship is essentially an extended job interview. If there’s not an opportunity to shine – make one. And I promise that it’ll pay off in the long run.
