Our words are powerful. But you know that. This is just a reminder. You are a powerful creator with your words. You know this, too, but I compelled to remind you. This week’s astrology is begging for a mantra or affirmation. I encourage you to come up with your own. If you already have one that you work with, up your practice around it.
I encourage you to do whatever you can do to empty your mind.
Wash away the junk. Clean off the fragments, particles and film that has collected on your mental windshield. Go for clear sight by clearing your mind and being watchful of your words. Speak only what you know is true, especially to yourself.
Why waste your energy by telling yourself lies?
Pray for clarity. Pray to see options. Pray to see all of the ways that you limit yourself by “knowing” the answers and therefor shutting out the Truth. Pray to be proven wrong when you are misguided about a person, place to thing. Pray to see through the eyes of Love. Pray to see what is needed in any given situation. Pray to have the courage to give it. Pray for the humility to appreciate being a human being. Pray that this life, this year, this day, this hour and this moment be your portion that you receive gratefully.
Taurus & Taurus Rising
I encourage you to look at what you do have. I encourage you to praise what is present. I encourage you to look to your inner resources for the revitalization that you need. I encourage you to look within for what you need; that is the only place your strength is, was or ever will be.
This is of course a double edged sword to work with.

If something is missing from your energetic bank account, magic that shit into being. This week brings us into the heart of a matter and for you it’s all about what you are willing to posses or what you are willing to let posses you.

Your ruling planet, Mercury, is entering the heart of the sun this Thursday. Mercury just so happens to be retrograde and in your sign. It’s a pretty powerful time for you due to the kind of efficiency that Mercury is capable in one of its signs (the other is Virgo). But Mercury is retrograde and efficiency in real-world time isn’t its game right now. Like we’ve talked about before, communication tends to work in warped ways during this retrograde. Yet there is this sliding door moment that occurs when Mercury and the sun are exactly conjunct that energizes a very important aspect our yourself; your mind.
Everything is created twice. First we come up with the idea for something and then we put action behind it to help it come to fruition. Everything is created first in the mind. This week gives you the opportunity to link your mind with the greatest light we little humans have to see by. Consider giving all of your thoughts, every day, all day, to this source. The ancients believed that the sun represented the divine mind, the part of us that was awake and conscious. This transit is about awakening to that inner knowing. This is happening for us all this week but because it’s in your sign, it’s your party. We all just came to get down, enjoy the free food and watch you work this solar magic.
Cancer & Cancer Rising
It’s been quite a year. It’s been quite a year of surfing waves that were bigger than they originally appeared to be. You’ve been asked to swim in big pools and probably had your moments of feeling like a pretty small fish.
But who cares when there’s all that space to move about in?
You’ve seen the spaces within yourself that you urgently need to occupy. You’ve seen the ways in which you are afraid to take next steps (but my hope is that you’ve done it anyway). You’ve had the opportunity to buckle up, zip it up and strap yourself into the drivers seat of your life and help yourself get to where it is you want to get to.
All of this is very good.
And yet, this week brings back a sneaky little side move that you need to keep in check. Some little behavior that is way below board and not at all above it. Something that you thought for sure you were above. It’s fishy.
Keep yourself honest. Do what you know must be done. Don’t shy away from your responsibilities, it will rupture the progress you have made and waste some otherwise very productive energy. On the other hand, making sure you take the time to investigate the parts of your life that feel confused, unsure or cloudy is time very well spent. Investigate don’t dissipate.
Leo & Leo Rising
It’s really good to love the ones we are with. It’s really easy to take them for granted. It’s really important to make sure that we have a community of folks that we feel held by and that we allow that embrace to penetrate our heart.
It’s also really healing to get the hell outta Dodge once in a while.
There is something in your chart that feels akin to slipping out the side door and venturing off into magical, mystical, liminal spaces. Spaces where you can feel your spaciousness. Spaces where you can feel like you can let down your guard, strip down to your birthday suit and throw away your identity.
It’s time to take a break.
You have a whole ton of fun (or something) headed your way in the coming year, so if you have time to take a breather, go for it. If you don’t have that luxury in bulk try to have it in “fun size” pieces. If a friend invites you out for some summer fun, go. If you need to stay home and sleep for an entire weekend, sleep. Let yourself be less formed, less formal, less forced and formulated. Air yourself out. Get in the waters of life. remember wtf the point of this whole thing is about. Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.
Virgo & Virgo Rising
There may be more than one issue about your career/life purpose that arises to the surface this week. Again. There is a bit of a theme occurring here. Possible regrets, possible moments of second guessing yourself and possibly moments of bewilderment about what you are doing in the place that you are doing it in.
There could also be a clarity that comes. A definitive, precise moment of knowing what your purpose is, what you need to do in order to serve it more fully and the kind of willingness necessary to do so. For some this will be a revelation, for others a moment of redefining, refining and recommitting to what you are already doing.
One thing is for sure; getting clearer in this area of your life helps you to feel more at home in your own skin. Applying yourself and committing to the right path for you opens up a new way of breathing life into living.
Move into the center, into your center, into the heart of the problem, matter or concern. Your ruling planet, Mercury, is moving into the center of the sun this week. It’s the heart of its retrograde cycle. It’s the slowest part of the cycle, the deepest part of the cycle psychologically. The ancients thought that when a planet was in this position it was strengthened because it was infused with the energy of this great light force. Just for a moment, just while the conjunction was near and completely exact. This will happen on Thursday. Ask for clarity, ask for guidance, ask for any signs, signals or dreams that you may need.
When you get the signs, signals and guidance, use them. “They” don’t like it when you don’t. Show your gratitude and your appreciation by acting on the directives you receive. Then go have fun with the friends who are and forget all about the big lofty lifting you are currently engaged with.
Libra & Libra Rising
It’s happening. A lot is happening. A lot more is on the verge of happening. But as you move forward in your career there is some piece of business that needs tending to from your recent travels, some road you need to retread. You might be feeling as though you missed something along the way and you need to go back and get it. Kind of like when you are watching a moving and you space out for a second and miss an important piece of the plot.
Don’t lose the plot!
If you don’t know why you are going the direction you are going in, the getting to where you are going won’t be as good. This month contains the last little golden threads of a larger tapestry. That fine piece of work is the good fortune this past year has brought you. It would be a shame to not poor some of the remaining opportunity into your true aspirations in life.
But we all have to pay the bills.
So there can be a balance right now between what you feel you must do and what you feel you really want to do. Either way the point here is to not let your hubris, or anyone else’s, own you. No boss, no opportunity owns you. You work for the source of energy that runs through all life and nothing else. However, this life is nuanced. There is an in-between place we sometimes have to exist in, illusive as it may be to find, straddle and live in. The heart of the matter is this: Do you feel like the room you are standing in is the one that you can shine the brightest in? If not I suggest you try door #2.
Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
This weekend holds a fascinating sequence of events for us all. Emotional intelligence seems to be the main theme. For you a lot of this centers around being true to your original design. You will feel like you are lit up from within when you are living life in accordance with your true nature; this week tempts you to be more committed to demonstrating what that is. There has been a focus here for the last couple of weeks and if you ignore the urge it could land you in quite a bit of misery.
But misery isn’t all bad. In fact I wonder if there isn’t a core wound around your self-expression that has/is resurfacing? A reminiscence of a time when there was misery present? The misery of not being able to be yourself because of a certain set of expectations or social conditions that you had no control over at the time? This week wants to purify those stagnant waters and help you to stay afloat.
Floating is important right now. A sense of buoyancy is being brought out in you even as your anchor drops into deeper water. There are times that are like this; we can be acutely aware of what we are losing and what we are gaining at the same time. Nothing wrong with a little paradox, it let’s us know we are alive.

You get another chance to practice non-attachment to the outcome. You get another chance to sit opposite of another and stay with yourself and respect them enough to let them have their experience. You get to go over the pieces that you’ve missed and this time shut up and listen to what another person is really saying with their words and their actions.
Life is ridiculously fascinating when we are fascinated by it. All the answers are awaiting us if we have the patience and the desire to be found by them. All of our needs are actually being met most of the time if we can become aware of what is actually occurring in front of us, not just what we assume is.
I encourage you to dog ear every page of this weeks script that contains a negative assumption about what others think or feel about you. I encourage you to shred those pages chanting, “Even if they do think or feel that about me I don’t care and it’s none of my business!”There is no limit to the amount of times you can and should do this.
Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
If age is good for anything it’s to let us know that what is worth it’s weight takes a tremendous effort and a considerable amount of time to become good at. Like really good at. We can be kind of good, even pretty good at something, but to become an expert takes a demanding dedication.
Sometimes it’s the strangest things that get us to do work on a certain aspect of ourselves or our lives. A slip, a trick, or a glimpse of what love could look like can catch us off guard and throw a wrench in our plans. There is something akin to a stumble or hiccup for you this week but I want you to keep your awareness on how you are being reflected by another and what kind of effect that has on you. There is a powerful insight that would like to break the surface of your consciousness but in oder for that to happen sometimes we have to be in a weakened state to receive such a “blessing”.
This week signals a time for you to both rehash old and outdated romantic paradigms and a time for you to get down to some of the business that is harder to get to; namely your health and day to day routines. If those get sorted the loftier questions around who you date and what kind of art you create will feel easier to deal with. Get good with your basics. It will also become easier to understand what relationship dynamics you are reliving and if that is really the most empowered choice to be making. Remembering that the creative and romantic process is a practice, one that requires time, ingenuity, patience and a whole lot of devotion to the journey.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
Our effect on others is tremendous. We feel each other when we are apart. We think of each other at the same moments. We change our minds because of a little thing someone said to us in a text. We are in such a deep relationship with one another and we can barely stand to acknowledge one another in an elevator. Yet that same elevator is filled with a million little cues from one person to the other, unspoken and unacknowledged.
We don’t owe anyone a conversation. We don’t have to walk around trying to make deep and sincere eye contact (please, it freaks some of us out) with every person we share space with but I think it could be extraordinarily valuable right now for you to pay very close attention to the ways in which you are pulled, drained, nourished, loved and seen by others. It’s a very simple and deep exploration that requires you stay completely present to yourself. Acknowledge the feelings that different people pull out of you, how that shifts you and how quickly you can come back to your center having gained this new insight about yourself. it’s kind of like a cosmic ping-pong game. Play to win.
Pisces & Pisces Rising
Pause. Feel. Distinguish (what is your ego’s response and what is your truth). Remove yourself from the pushing and pulling of societal expectation. Go your own way. Repeat.
When I meditate on your chart for the week I get the feel like I am sitting on the edge of a dock, dangling my legs in the lake and feeling that moment where the leg goes from extension to flexion. The water swirls around the moving appendage and there is a moment of resistance. A moment of pause while changing direction. That’s what these past two weeks have been about for you. The information is still swirling about, the shift has yet to take place and the movement is suspended.
I encourage you to embrace the desires that surface this week and the kind of havoc they might wreak if acknowledged. This is no time for you to be cowering on the sidelines, nor is it a time for you to be head cheerleader. This is a time of considered rebellion, maverick moves and innovative intentions. Deep ones. This is about a new relationship to old wounds. This is about remembering joy and feeling whole, especially at your most broken. This is about soaking up every last bit of love that is sauntering your way, regardless of whether or not it’s “right”or whether or not it will “last”. This is about accepting love for love’s sake. This is love for the sake of healing. No expectations, no strings, no concern for anything besides the moment. Just live out today and live today to the very best of your ability.
