In the theater world, they have a term that’s used to describe someone who can act, sing and dance: Triple threat.

In Hollywood, however, things are a bit different. If you really want to make it among the current generation of starlets, you’ve got to act, sing, dance, start a fashion line, endorse cosmetics and have your own fragrance.

Now, while I do consider myself a connoisseur of celebrity gossip, even I can admit it – I’m not expert on celebrity fragrances. In fact, I thought Britney was among the first to release her own scent but it turns out the practice has been around for a while. According to this article, celebrities have been releasing fragrances since 1957 when the grand Audrey Hepburn released her own scent (I bet it smelled like potpourri and diamonds).

The celebrity fragrance thing is nothing new, but it also doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. To be honest, I’ve never bought any of them (or even given any celeb fragrance a fair chance) because the idea has just never appealed to me. With that being, said, I would totally release my own fragrance if ever given the chance. I mean, wouldn’t you?
