Attention Pottheads! J.K. Rowling has published a new story to update us on our beloved Harry Potter series. This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill!
This morning Rowling published a gossip column of sorts written as Potter character Rita Skeeter chronicling the activities of Dumbledore’s Army at the Quidditch World Cup Final on her Pottermore website. This is the first thing Rowling has written about the Potter Trio since the last installment of the series was published in 2007.
So what are the three heroes up to these days? Harry, who is turning 34 at the end of the month, is graying and sporting a strange cut on his cheek, that Skeeter speculates is either work related or a sign that his marriage to Ginny Weasley is crumbling to pieces. Ron Weasley co-manages the family “joke emporium” Wealsey’s Wizard Wheezes and his wife, Hermione Granger, is raising through the ranks at the Ministry of Magic at rocket speeds.
