Lauren Conrad did not appreciate being called a “basic bitch,” by Allure but she handled herself with grace on Twitter.
Allure’s definition of the “basic” is pretty funny:
“Made famous by Kreayshawn and viral by YouTube the Basic woman is remarkably unremarkable. What’s noteworthy about her style is its very plainness. Except to her. She swears these red soled shoes are cutting edge.”
Allure then lists the style preferences for Le Basic.
Hairstyle: Blowout or sausage curls.
Jeans: Skinnies
Smells Like: Vanilla Cupcake Body Milk
Nails: Essie Ballet Slippers
I don’t know if I would call Lauren basic, after all she is The Girl Who Did Not Go To Paris, all basic bitches love to romanticize Paris (even I do) and she chose not to go. Then again, she didn’t go to Paris over some basic-ass dude, which is a pretty basic thing to do. Lauren Conrad is a walking talking Pinterest board, so, yeah, she is pretty basic but certainly not the poster child for it, right?
