23 Summer Things You Can Still Do After Labor Day

Summer isn’t technically over. Not until the end of September but post Labor Day tends the mark the end of a floral, printed warm weathered era. I refuse to let go of summer until I absolutely have to. For example, in NYC, it’s going to be 91 degrees today. Until I am layering knitted leggings and trudging through inches of snow I will be willing summer into every activity I do. I will not let the passage of time or traditional September expectations ruin my summer fun. I will break the rules and bring summer into fall with me until my strappy sandals can’t take it anymore.
1. Wear white. What an absurd rule. If you look good in white, then wear white!
2. Drink iced coffee.
3. Run outdoors.
4. Go camping. (It’s up for grabs until October, tbh.)
5. Eat and drink outdoors. Just bring a sweater.
6. Wear floral prints.
7. Party on the roof.
8. Go hiking.
9.  Spend a lazy day in the park.
10. Enjoy salads.
11. All those songs of the summer sound just as good this fall.
12. Please don’t ever stop wearing sun screen.
13. Yes, you can wear your sandals until your cold toesies can’t take it anymore.
14. Why stop swimming when indoor pools exist?
15. Light, natural summer makeup always looks good. Don’t put those bronzers away just yet.
16. Eat ice cream.
17. Wear cropped tops.
18. Wear shorts. (Put tights under them if you must.)
19. Eat frozen yogurt by the ounce.
20. Go to amusement parks.
21. Take a weekend vacation.
22. Play sports.
23. Wear sunglasses. (Especially if you don’t want crow’s feet. Although I think crow’s feet are kinda cute.)
