Meet Cary Joji Fukunaga, the Man of All Our Dreams

The last time I wrote a post in which I claimed to have found my dream man, that man sent me a message to thank me for the kind words. After I recovered from the brief mortification, I vowed never again to publicly swoon or profess my love for someone over the internet. Well, you know what they say about using the word “never”…
Enter Cary Joji Fukunaga. You’ve probably seen him around over the past week. He just won an Emmy for directing True Detective and wore pigtails on the red carpet. I’m not sure which I find more impressive, but needless to say I’m totally in love. I said it, I meant it, no take backs. The good thing is that the rest of the internet seems equally as smitten, so he probably won’t be emailing me any time too soon. Creepy, semi-anonymous swooning is, after all, my preferred style. (Serial stalkers and bloggers — more in common than you ever thought.)
And it’s not just his insanely beautiful face and A+ hair game that’ve set my heart aflutter. No. He also worked on the set of a Destiny’s Child music video. Survivor, to be exact, the pièce de résistance from Beyonce’s camo-clad archives. He’s also 37, 6’2, an ex-snowboarder, half Japanese and half Swedish, a Cancer, ex-boyfriend of Michelle Williams, giver of highly romantic gifts and the man responsible for making True Detective so incredibly awesome. If I had to guess, he probably also has an adorable dog and enjoys spending his Saturdays walking around the farmers market and wants to sit in a hammock and read with you all day. Speculation, but most likely true.
Because I don’t want to risk embarrassing myself any further, I leave you with 18 photos of Cary aka baby golden sun face.
