There are the shows that remain staples from childhood to adulthood. For whatever reason Hey, Arnold!, Doug and Pepper Ann are shows that I still can remember specific episodes of. You know, like when Doug has to eat liver and onions and freaks out because it sounds gross but turns out that he found the meal was pretty tasty. Why would I remember that? I have no idea why some shows stay with us while others don’t.
Maybe it was because I had to fight with my brother to get the TV to watch Pepper Ann or because Hey, Arnold’s city setting felt more familiar to me than all the shows that took place in the suburbs or because Doug was a show my brother and I could enjoy together.
Yet, there were other shows that I equally devoured with as much enthusiasm like Taina, Sabrina: The Animated Series or So Little Time. I loved these shows as a kid but I can barely remember them the way I do other series.
After a quick CC office poll we determined which shows from our childhoods have been rewritten out of history and we were pretty stoked to rediscover all of the forgotten gems of yesteryear.
