This week brings us a full moon in Taurus which means that my suggestion for everyone is to go get a massage, eat a good meal and enjoy as much skin on skin contact as possible.
Aries & Aries Rising
Affirmation:
I witness what I value by seeing how and where I spend extra money. I understand that every dollar I spend is a type of agreement, validation, vote and commitment so I stay conscious when purchasing. I watch to see if while I am spending money, I’m simply going for a thrill, trying to fill a love void or soothe the frustrations of a talent un-lived thus far. I don’t go into financial debt over a perceived personal debt. I know that money can’t fill spiritual voids so I spend mine on what encourages my spiritual, emotional and intellectual well-being. I work diligently at being fully self-supporting through my own contributions and yet I am not overly identified with what I own.
Ritual:
Give an offering. Offer anything that you have extra of to another whenever it occurs to you. Do this as an experiment. See how it feels to be generous. Do you have faith that more will come? Do you give away what you actually need to keep? Do you feel like you are in a perpetual state of lack? If you are in a job that sucks your soul dry spend some time envisioning your perfect job and imagine your what your preferred salary would be. Be realistic about this, meaning create with numbers that you believe in. Make a budget with the money that you have now. Respect your money as a symbol of energy spent and quality interactions had. Account for every dollar you spend and every dollar you earn for the next moon cycle to see what comes in and what goes out. Get real about numbers and save some of the cash to get yourself something that you have really wanted (which might just be gas in the car to go for a hike, good cheese and crackers for a picnic, tickets to a movie or dinner with your bestie). Make a ritual out of spending some money on what gives meaning to your life.

Taurus & Taurus Rising
Affirmation:
This is me, this is me, this is me. This is my body and I will go to any length to protect myself from harm or maltreatment. My body is my boundary and only those I trust and give permission to get to be intimate with it and with me. My permission can be revoked at any time. My permission can be given at any time. This is my body. This body is my best friend. This body is my spiritual companion. It is my birthright to feel the feeling that arise in my body and to follow the wisdom that is offered. My body tells me what is ok, what is not ok and what is just a remembrance of the past.
Ritual:
Get quiet in a quiet space. Take a moment. Take a breath. Feel your body. breath into each sensation that arises. Feel your body. Feel the edges of your skin. Feel your boundary. Feel your body as part of your boundary. Feel what it is to be present in your body with total authority over how it is treated by others. Befriend your body. Once you have established contact with your physical self, noticing what feelings, both emotional and physical, arise. As you do so, think of a major relationship in your life, one that may be up for inspection at the moment, one that might be in need of healing. Consider what agreements you have made, what contracts you have energetically signed, what rules you consciously or unconsciously adhere to in the relationship. Now consider if they are working for you. Are they muddled? Are you unclear about what your role is in their life or what their role is in yours? Are you spending so much emotional energy in trying to sort out the confusion that it is preventing you from enjoying your life, living fully, expressing freely and loving as you want to? We don’t get to dictate the perimeters of a relationship on our own – these tangos take two – but we do get to go within and dig around to see how we might have lost our sense of self out of fear of losing someone else.

Gemini & Gemini Rising
Affirmation:
I let myself be still. I let myself be quiet. I let myself rest. I let myself rejuvenate. I let myself dream because healing happens here. I let myself disintegrate when and where I can because I need that sometimes. I let myself off the hook from busy-busy because it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I let myself wander. I let myself ponder. I let myself roam because I know that I am also extremely committed to the present moment. My body, my health and my commitment to my day to day life have been at times extreme in their teachings so I balance this with a much needed break. I don’t get too caught up in feelings of loss and self-loathing. I recognize them as a signal that I am either deeply depleted and in need of rejuvenation or that I am entering some healing terrain that requires both my attention and my ability to sit still and let the feeling arise. Some of the most impactful work I will do in my life is sitting still long enough to receive information. I need not do anything in particular with it besides witnessing its presence. Dreams also give me these experiences, this information and the healing I need now so I pay special attention to them.
Ritual:
Have a bath. Have a moment. Dedicate a certain amount of time to your healing, restoration and rejuvenation. Go to the spa if you can. Get a massage if you can. Get any kind of treatment that allows you to lose yourself in it. Take a restorative yoga class (there are some online that are affordable and you can do at home). Do yoga nidra, guided meditation or any other practice that feels like you can let go into the care of another. Let yourself watch your favorite TV show, watch a movie, read a fantasy novel anything that lets you feel like you can escape for a moment but notice your process around it. Going away requires coming back eventually so see what the cost is and see what your best practices are for releasing stress. Release stress. Go stare at water. Sit by water. Go to a place that helps you feel calm, connected and in relationship with the planet you live on, live off and will eventually go back to.

Cancer & Cancer Rising
Affirmation:
All of my lovers, be them physical or creative and all of my partnerships, be them easy or challenging are my caldrons of self knowledge. Letting myself be loved and letting myself love can feel like the most terrifying feats to attempt. The more extreme a feeling is about a person, place or situation the more I repeat to myself, “I can take breaks but I also know that I am strong enough to travel through the process that this love situation is pulling up for me. I can and I will see this through and see a clearer image of myself on the other side.” I pause to celebrate the pleasure present in the simplicity of showing up for friends, community and connectivity. I keep it simple when and where I can.
Ritual:
There is a connection between your commitment to the projects that you have been working on, and all of the deep work that you have been doing around committing to the relationships that are present. This full moon highlights your relationship to your community, the other half of this equation. We can create but we need an audience to share it with. We do not create in a vacuum. When gathered together in a meaningful way we can create a sense of connection. Connection brings happiness, in contrast to commercialism, the modern day community ritual. On this full moon gather or go to any community gathering that you feel called to go to. Gather friends, gather with those that have similar life pursuits. Feel the release of energy that comes when gathering with the intention to create connection. We need so little in the terms of material things when our hearts are full in terms of emotional bonding. If you have willing participants in your life consider hosting a full moon fete. Gather over good food, have everyone bring their most pleasurable indulgence. Gather over pleasing sounds, get everyone to bring their favorite song of the moment. Gather over inspiring art, get everyone to bring their favorite poem, painting or image of an installation. Gather together in honor of delighting your senses and reveling in the simplicity of good company.

Leo & Leo Rising
Affirmation:
This month I root to rise. I am able to build a life because I take the appropriate steps necessary to lay down a good foundation. I have what it takes to see the process through so that my dreams may unfold. Positive thinking is cool but it does not stand alone. I know that I need to work everyday at what I wish to manifest in this world and so I use this time to commit to constancy. I show up. I don’t give up. Not when there are set backs, flashbacks or flip-flops. I don’t go to seed when things appear not to take. I lay patient ground. Fertile ground. Ground to build a life on. And because my life is but a flash in the pan I promise to create something of beauty, something of love and something of joy to leave those that will come after I am long gone. It may just be in the ethers but it will be there.
Ritual:
Stand with your feet firmly planted on the earth (outside if at all possible, if you are in a warm climate then find a patch of land to get your bare skin on). Spend a couple of moments breathing down into your feet, imagine that you were inhaling through the soles of your feet and exhaling back into the earth. Feel your bones stack one on top of the other lifting you up. Feel yourself rise up. Feel how you have risen within every heart break, every loss, every upset. Feel how they have informed you, made you more resilient, especially the ones that are not yet and may never be fully healed or resolved. Feel how formidable your spirit is and must be to stand in the entirety of your life. You are a miracle. Feel that. Feel the courage that it takes to be human and the patience it takes to build a life, brick by brick and step by step. Feel your steadiness, feel your abilities, feel all the potentials that you have fulfilled and have yet to fulfill. See your willingness to stay with each dream until it comes to fruition. See your capacity for great feats of courage and even greater amounts of love along the way.

Virgo & Virgo Rising
Affirmation:
I steady myself in my inner knowledge. I slow down to consider how far I have come. I acknowledge the course correction that I have taken thus far and I find faith when and where I can. I have faith in the trees, bees, bed rock and bird songs. I need not look further than nature in order to reaffirm my feeling of well-being. How I see anything in my life is about my relationship to it. I focus on my relationship to my micro environment and I see how it serves my macro one. The friends that feel like brothers and sisters as well as actual siblings get the bulk of my commitment energy- though not every agreement comes easily. I rely on the rituals that keep me connected to my faith in life to help me get through the tougher tones in my friendships.
Ritual:
Go to a service that you have been meaning to go to. Go to a lecture on something philosophical, religious, spiritual or metaphysical. Travel. Go out in the world if at all possible. If not, open up a bank account entitled “Dream Trip” and put whatever extra cash you’ve got in it. Repeat every week. Or get out a map and track a route around the world that you would take tomorrow if you could. Then draw a map of your inner world and track a route that you are currently exploring. See where it is that you want to go within yourself but mostly notice where you have been and where you are now. Take note of how far you have travelled. Take care not to diminish your journey. Take refuge in the fact that you want more. Being driven to go forward is a good thing. Take your journey seriously, don’t simply dismiss it but notice when you want to do just that. Have a ceremony and give yourself a medal for climbing the hills of your life and wading through the bogs of the vile bile that we all must trudge through. Congratulate yourself on graduating from life’s lessons thus far and then get out the course catalogue for the next semester. Pick your favorite topics and your most needed subjects. Apply by noted deadline.

Libra & Libra Rising
Affirmation:
I know that my life is a mysterious, alchemical and transformational journey. I know that I cannot bring everything with me. I know that there are moments where I need to pause and ponder what needs to be let go of. I know there are moments when I need to strip down and ritualistically become naked in front of my fate. This week is one of those times. I let my armor be taken from me. I even release what I feel makes me powerful. Titles, trinkets and bank accounts do not work here. This week brings me into contact with what lies underneath all of the false identities and misconceived faces of me. I welcome the experience as one that will leave me a little raw perhaps but more deeply connected to my true worth and value.
Ritual:
Rake dead leaves. Compost what has perished. Contemplate the price you pay to hold onto what has already departed. Make a list of the things that you need to bury, like hatchets. Make a list of what you need to burn and then burn it. Put the ashes in the ground and hold a ritual funeral for them. Nothing too long. Nothing too morose but just something to acknowledge the transformation occurring in your life and in your psyche. We often feel sad that we cannot hang onto the things that we once loved not realizing that they were not meant for an entire lifetime. There are many relationships that have an expiration date on them and by honoring their natural life cycle we are honoring the gifts that they brought.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
Affirmation:
I trust that a process of healing was initiated at the last new moon/solar eclipse and that I am strong, sturdy and steady enough to see it through. I trust that all of the information that I gather from you and every other intimate partner that is in my life is information that I need for my evolution. I trust in what comes my way through my interactions with others and see what I can build with it. I do not reject it. I do not reject you. I stand in the fire of the moment and in the depth of all of my feelings and I let the moment inform me. I let this moment inform me because I trust that it is here for a reason. Happiness is not what I am after -meaning is. I search for the meaning that is here. I do not shy away from the work. I commit to this process and I do not waiver in it. My only job is to show up.
Ritual:
Get some flowers or greenery of some kind, any plant life that speaks to your heart. Something that when you look at it makes you feel open and spacious inside. Something that reminds you that life is about connection. Something that reminds you of the simplicity of beauty. Something that reminds you of your relationship with that beauty. Something that reminds you about what true abundance is. Life is abundant. Relationship to life is abundance. Our inner experience of that relationship is abundance. All life is waiting for us to be in relationship with it. All we need is to be committed to the process and to be willing to see it through, through thick and thin. Place the flowers, plant flowers somewhere where you will see them every morning. Sit with them upon arising. Take in their beauty. Take in the beauty they are offering you. Take in the gift that you gave yourself. Feel loved.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
Affirmation:
I dedicate this week to helping my body feel good. I live many moments in my head, in my mind and in my pursuits of future quests so I take this full moon as my medicine to stop and remember some of the joys present when my physical being feels well taken care of. Like a hungry animal I get frantic internally when I am not fed properly. This week I feed the parts of me that are hungry for physical fulfillment. I do this by slowing down and taking a moment to meditate on how my body feels, what it might need and how I might be able to supply it with those needs. I regularly tell my body that I am grateful to it, that I am mindful of it and that I am deeply grateful for every bit of information it gives me. When all else fails I place my hand on my heart, my stomach or my lower back and repeat the powerful and ancient prayer, Thank You.
Ritual:
Take out your calendar and write everything down that you need to do for the next month, until the next full moon on December 6th. Make a note of the new moon on November 22nd. Put everything in your calendar that you wish to accomplish, everything that you are striving for, everything you think that you should get done. Do that now and then come back to these instructions, it’s OK, I’ll wait…
Done? OK, now look to see if anything in your day book involved enjoying yourself, resting, rejuvenating or restoring your energy. Consider how much down time you allowed for in-between activities. Consider how many activities had to do with your physical well being. Consider how your daily life may be impacting your health, happiness and vitality. Now go schedule a massage.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
Affirmation:
I am a creative being. Everything that takes place in me is a creative process. I honor this by remembering to play. Hobbies are healing. Stress gets me nowhere. as I continue to work on my relationships to those that help to feed my creative passions I remember to refuel through and refocus on my art. I paint like a 4 year old, without self-consciousness. I dance like a toddler, I am honest about the way music moves my body. I sing like a 9 year old in the mirror pretending he is as fabulous as his teen idol. I do not judge my creative process. I build a place for myself to be. I am unlike anyone else and therefore I create unlike anyone else. To compare myself to others is creative suicide. I let myself off the hook of having to be good and instead I just let myself play.
Ritual:
I could stop at “Have sex” which includes with yourself. Or I could stop at “Create something” which applies to everyone who ever said, “But I’m not creative.” Actually it applies double to them. If you aren’t in the mood to try and make your own magic then go get inspired by someone else’s. Go see a play. Go see an art show. Go see something sexy. Go get creative inspiration from those who have mastered the art of self-expression. Notice how they have committed to their craft. Notice the work that was poured into the creation. Notice their relationship to the modality that they have chosen. Creating or experiencing creations that are about the complexities of commitment and relationship would also be a powerful experience to be a part of. This is a moon that can help you to refuel. It looks like a lot of time, energy and work has been taking place in your community and if you have been showing up there there should be a certain amount of clarity that is coming about the work you will do and must do. Good! Now use this full moon to inspire yourself on the most practical of planes. Go get some art. Or kisses. Or both.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
Affirmation:
When I commit to what feeds me I am able to feed it the very best of what I have. I see how striving for my career dreams and goals can take away from my home life. I make extra time this week to get cozy, comforted and grounded. I am fully aware of how precious my inner life is so I water, groom and give gratitude to it. So much is happening at home, at work and in my intimate partnerships that I also remember what it is I need in order to make it successfully through each day. I am experiencing some pretty epic encounters in my chosen field and I see that now more than ever, the relationships I show up for there can carry me far, some for the rest of my career.
Ritual:
Clean your home. Make space for yourself. Build an altar to your inner child. Build an alter to your inner Wise One. Build an altar to your life. Build an altar to whatever is meaningful to you. Write on a piece of paper, on a rock or on your forehead, “I am home.” Come home. Every night, really come home, wherever you happen to be. Come home and feel your surroundings. Notice your nooks and crannies. Check to see if you feel safe in your space. Do what you need to do in order to feel safe or safer here. Eat at home. Cook if you can. Eat with loved ones if at all possible. Feed yourself. Nourish yourself. Cuddle yourself. Come home, come home, come home. You have so much going on out there that this is no time to scrimp on your body’s basic needs.

Pisces & Pisces Rising
Affirmation:
I commit to my own process of understanding. I let myself adhere to the philosophies that challenge me to be a better thinker, a better actor in the world and a better being. Living a good life takes a certain amount of questioning, pausing, pondering and putting an end to perpetuating unconscious behaviors. This takes work. I am in a deeply transformative relationship with my philosophical understanding. It’s OK to wrestle with God. It’s actually what I am supposed to do. It’s OK to be tested and to test what I have faith in. It’s what is supposed to happen. I chose to search for meaning in this moment and to understand my relationship to it rather than to just try and disconnect from it because it’s too complex, difficult or disturbing. At the same time I remember to give myself comfort and get soothing where soothing is given.
Ritual:
Read aloud. Get your lover and friends to read aloud to you. Listen to This American Life or another story telling program that gets you feeling like you did when you were 6 and someone sweet did story time with you. But above all listen. Listen to the wind. Listen to whomever is speaking to you, especially if they are or feel like a sibling. Listen for your heartbeat. Listen to any sounds of nature that abound around you or go to a park or your nearest nature sanctuary. Stop and listen. Listen for messages. Look for signs. Divine. See what speaks to you. Speak gratitude back to it. Pick a card from your favorite tarot or divination deck and write a story, poem or joke about it. Make a meme of it. Relate to it and let it relate to you. Put it on your altar and give it a little food, a little light and a little flower. Ask for information and then listen for its guidance.
