3 Beauty Products to Take You From the Gym to Class

||

working out makeup

Most college girls are strapped for time as it is, which means that just fitting a workout in is an impressive feat. One of the best ways to make fitness a priority is by linking it to something you already have to do, like attend class, but that creates the issue of getting from the gym to class without looking like a sweaty mess.

These 3 products are essentials in my gym bag and help me look put together on-the-go!

YTC wipes

1. Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Travel Facial Wipes ($2.99)

Since you’ll have to cut down on shower time, skip the face wash and use facial wipes instead. These babies by Yes to… feature cucumbers to help soothe redness associated with working out. You don’t need to rinse the residue off – a quick rub helps the cucumber and aloe extract sink in and doubles as a moisturizer! Plus, the 10-pack fits easily into your makeup or gym bag pockets.

2. LUSH ‘No Drought’ ($13.95) or Drybar ‘Detox’ Dry ($20) Shampoos

When dry shampoos exploded on the beauty scene a couple years ago, I felt like my prayers had been answered. If I’ve worked up any sort of sweat, it shows in my hair (yuck) and dry shampoo helps reduce that shine and refresh my lackluster locks. Even if I’m going to toss my hair up in a ponytail, I apply some dry shampoo first. Both of these do the job and smell amazing, so you can even skip perfume.

3. MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural ($32)

Despite trying out a host of other powders, I always come back to MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural for my everyday powder to even out skintone and control oil. My skin is always blotchy and prone to shininess after working out, but applying this fixes both those issues. The finish is matte-natural and it almost melts into skin so it’s undetectable – definitely worth the splurge!

I love my little hometown and all that goes with living in the Great White North - snow, skiing, hot chocolate, bulky knit sweaters. I'm passionate about a lot of things, but you'll most often find me writing about books, makeup and fashion. As I like to put it, I've got beauty AND brains.
