Broadway goddess Idina Menzel took the stage in Times Square on New Year’s Eve to sing the year’s biggest song, “Let It Go” from the movie Frozen. The massive crowd assembled sang along while millions across the country tuned in. Everything was magical…until Idina didn’t exactly nail the high note at the end.

Despite the fact that the poor woman was singing an extremely difficult song live in twenty degree weather, some very opinionated Twitter users shared how they felt, many referencing when John Travolta mispronounced Idina’s name at the Oscars as “Adele Dazeem.”
I think Adele Dazeem kidnapped Idina Manzel and sang Let it Go tonight. #awful

*Insert your own joke about how people can’t “let it go” here*
Idina took to Twitter herself to respond.

Don’t listen to the haters. You’re a star, Elsa! Er…I mean Adele! I mean Idina!
