Last month, Glee’s Coach Beiste announced her decision to transition to a man.
Dot-Marie Jones, who plays Coach Beiste said she is “honored” to play this new chapter on her character’s life.
Coach Beiste, who on earlier seasons was a survivor on domestic violence has had an inspiring role on the show. Dot-Marie’s only concern was: “I didn’t want to let down the girls who are straight and tomboys that my character represented the last four seasons, but I got the script and I was, like, ‘Oh my God. This is amazing.’ “, in an interview for People magazine.
Here is a first look on the character transition, that will air on Feb. 13 on Fox.
