Dude Gets Shot & Goes To The Hospital, But First, Let Him Take A Selfie

Everyone with a smartphone (so, everyone) is in some unspoken “greatest selfie ever” contest. We pretty much climb mountains and meet celebrities put to post a picture to Instagram and feel self worth in the form of likes. This might be an epic selfie, but I would highly recommend taking this guy’s story as a “what not to do when you get shot” lesson.
Isaac Martinez was shot by a white supremacist on a shooting spree on Wednesday in Mesa, Arizona. Martinez was one of five wounded by the gunman who also killed another victim. He was treated at a local hospital, but not before he took a selfie that read “I just got shot…” Are you effing kidding me? While lots of people take shots and selfies, you’re not supposed to get shot and take a selfie. Get off Snapchat and dial 911 like a normal person. Even in the hospital, he was taking selfies of the wound.

Luckily for Isaac, his ridiculous decision didn’t cause him any additional harm. Unfortunately for others who want a similar selfie, the suspected gunman was caught.
