Rumors that Bruce Jenner is transitioning to a woman is a touchy subject, and it’s obviously going to affect his family (who are already in the spotlight). Us Weekly did a story on the rumors surrounding the former Olympian, but according to his daughter Kendall Jenner, she never said anything to them.
The magazine quotes Kendall as saying, “He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”
Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.

how is it legal for someone to "quote" someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted.

Bruce Jenner has not commented publicly on speculation that he’s transitioning to a woman, so any comments from his relatives would essentially be confirming the rumors.
*Update 3/20/15*
A day after Kendall Jenner took to Twitter to deny that she spoke to Us Weekly about her father, Bruce Jenner, the magazine has issued a retraction. “Editors of Us have concerns about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained,” the magazine wrote in a statement on its website. “We would like to retract the story entirely and have removed it from our website. We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family.”
