The Baltimore Sun announced this morning that the National Football League is about to hire their first permanent female official, Sarah Thomas. The potential referee has been doing this for almost 20 years, officiating NFL preseason games as a line judge while in the league’s training program. She has stated she never set out to break down barriers and become the first female ref; she just does the job because she loves it. Although the NFL has had her in their eyesight for two years, some guys couldn’t handle the thought of a lady reffing football…and super original, ridiculously clever, and crazy mature jokes ensued.
