When you read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books as a tween, you probably wished such a close friendship was real. Ironically, the movie adaptation of the book series did bond four girls together for life!
Amber Tamblyn appeared on the VH1 show Morning Buzz Live and spoke with host Nick Lachey about her friend Blake Lively’s new baby girl, James. Amber was asked if she, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel – the co-stars of two Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies – were godmothers to their friend’s new addition.
“You’re still very close with your…co-stars and the three of you are godmothers to Blake Lively’s baby – is that a fact?” Nick asked her.
“Yes, that is a fact,” Amber replied, prompting cheers from the crowd.
Amber, America, and Alexis all attended Blake’s wedding to Ryan Reynolds back in 2012, and they’re obviously all still close. We love that Blake didn’t single out just one girl to be James’ godmother, but chose all three…totally what Bridget, Carmen, Tibby, or Lena would have done.
The good news doesn’t end there – there might be another Sisterhood movie starring the girls! Given that they’re all so close, we bet that they would love to work together again. In February, America said on The Meredith Vieira Show said another sequel hadn’t been greenlighted yet, but a script was in the works. Pleaseeee happen!
