There’s one thing that seems to hold up about pretty much every teen TV show: That they almost always go downhill when they send their characters to college.
Honestly, shows are probably better just keeping their characters in high school for like six years, which is actually another common phenomena. I can honestly only think of one show that was actually good during its characters’ college years and that show was Greek, a show that centered around the whole college thing. Maybe One Tree Hill had the right idea by just skipping straight to post-college.
