The ballroom hottie who made you consider taking dance lessons in hopes that your instructor would be half as attractive may not be able to continue with this season of Dancing With the Stars. Derek Hough had a rough night following Monday’s spring break episode, spending the night in the emergency room. Although he posted a pic to Instagram that hinted at problems with his feet, he quickly deleted the post which read, “Just getting home from the hospital. Not the best of news. I’m in utter disbelief.” According to sources, Derek suffered multiple injuries including a broken toe, sprained ankle, and ligament damage. Doesn’t sound good. He and his DWTS partner, gymnast Nastia Liukin, are still in the competition, plus Derek is headlining a show in NYC called the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. Although ABC is not commenting on Derek’s status, E! reports that the dancer could be off the ABC show for the rest of the season, and Nastia might be getting a new partner. Nastia will be rehearsing with troupe member Sasha Farber until Derek can return to the competition (if he can). “It sucks. It’s unfortunate,” DWTS pro Mark Ballas tells E! News. “Hopefully he’s going to be OK. The MRI results will come in [today] probably and we’ll know more, but we’re just praying that everything’s OK.”
