Cassey Ho might not have been a household name until the past few days, but the fitness trainer has over 831K followers on her Blogilates Instagram, some of whom were not sending her the kindest words. Like all most public personalities, people posted insults about Cassey, including critiques of her body, on a daily basis. Instead of ignore the nasty comments, she did something about it. She took some of the comments about what her body “should” look like and she photoshopped herself to match. When she posted the photo to Instagram with the caption, “Finally got my perfect body,” the feedback was mixed. They ranged from people praising her and saying she was their “goal,” to people calling to anorexic-looking, and even the opposite end of the spectrum, saying she was “still too fat.”
She said, “What worries me is this: 1. That some people think this is real and that it should be “goals.” 2. That some people still think it’s not good enough.”
Why’d she do it? Check out her powerful video with an important message about body shaming: you shouldn’t try to fit anyone else’s definition of a “perfect” figure.
