If you haven’t yet bought into watching Girl Meets World for fear that it would ruin one of your favorite childhood shows, you’re about to be really tempted. Time reports that Mr. Feeny and Eric Matthews are coming to the show next month. For the second season of the show, there will be five new episodes, with a new one premiering each night, so you have every excuse to stay in watching Disney channel no matter how old you are.
Although William Daniels has a long list of film and television credits including Grey’s Anatomy and St. Elsewhere, he will forever be remembered as the wise Mr. Feeny, Corey’s teacher and neighbor. He made a brief appearance in the Girl Meets World pilot as a ghost, but now Corey and Topanga’s daughter Riley has a new teacher. If it’s not Mr. Feeny, it will go down as the biggest disappointment in television history, and no, that’s not being dramatic.
Meanwhile, Cory’s older bro Eric, played by Will Friedle, will be back in an episode titled Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels. Wait. Can this be? True fans will remember the one of the funniest episodes of Boy Meets World where in an imagined future, Eric abandoned society and took the name of Plays With Squirrels. Here’s a refresher:
