Pretty soon, you’ll never have to leave the house again. Right after Taco Bell announced that they’re going to start experimenting with a delivery service, Chipotle just goes ahead and does it.
The burrito mavens recently announced their partnership with Postmates, a delivery service that guarantees food to arrive at you doorstep within an hour of placing your order. Sadly there is a catch: it’s way pricier than just walking into your local joint. According to buyer and writer Jason Del Rey, an $8 burrito totaled to $20 with delivery and service fees. That’s a pricey bit of fast food Mexican, but apparently, people don’t care. So many people are willing to pay $20 for a burrito without putting a bra on that according to Postmates, $500,000 worth of Chipotle has already been delivered, and the number is continually going up.
